If you aspire to be a good dungeon master, or if you want to see a good way to introduce new players to D&D, then you NEED to see these videos. They are entertaining, but also instructional. This is the first one, but watch the rest of them. NSFW at times.

Slash and Cast Episode 8

On this show: an interview with Barry Blair about homebrew Dungeons and Dragons.

I don’t have much of a voice as I finish up this episode, which is evident in the intro and outtro. We will get back to news and gaming table reports in episode 9…if my voice fully returns!

Slash and Cast Episode 7

Here it is! A short bit of news and then right into an interview with Greg Davidson. Greg is one of the players on Combat Cast and has spearheaded the use of Maptools to make that show happen. Listen in as he talks about the power of Maptools for playing Dungeons & Dragons over the Internet. Here is a link to Greg’s blog about Maptool.

Maptools Mastery

We are using Maptools for playing over the Internet and it is really working out great. You can read all about Maptools and download it for yourself at RPTools.net.

One of the fine folks playing on the Combat Cast is Greg. He has really grabbed Maptools by the horns and created some out-of-this-world macros for our game. I was so stoked to see this stuff in action tonight that I just had to post a screen capture. Thanks a ton to Greg for all the work he has put into this for our campaign. This is a great example of what you can do with these tools. Click on it to enlarge.
